The Online Banking service also gives you the option to view your payment due date, minimum payment amount, transaction details and more. To register for CIBC VISA Online, you must hold a CIBC VISA Card and you must be the primary cardholder and a Canadian resident. You will be asked to provide your VISA card details, date of birth and statement information. You will also need the balance from your most recent VISA statement. You can find your balance in the “Previous Balance” field located under the “Account Summary” section on the VISA statement that was most recently mailed to you. If you do not have your statement information, please contact CIBC Credit Card Services.
- From the main page, under the Personal Banking tab, select the "Register now" link located next to the "Sign On" button on the top right corner of the page
- Select the link "Register now for CIBC VISA Online Banking"
- Select "Register Now"
- Read the Electronic Access Agreement and select "I Agree"
- Following the instructions on the screen, enter your VISA card details, date of birth and statement information
- Choose a 6-12 character password and enter it. This password can be letters or numbers or both, and is case-sensitive
- Enter the password again and select "Register" to continue
Please note:
If you have recently been issued a CIBC VISA with a different number than the original, you must re-register for Online Banking.
