How do I apply for a CIBC VISA card?

To be eligible for a CIBC VISA card:

  • You must be a Canadian resident
  • You must have reached the age of majority in your province

     AB, MB, ON, PEI, QC, SK - 18 years old
     BC, NB, NF, NT, NS, YK, Nunavut – 19 years old

  • You must meet all CIBC standard credit requirements (including that you have made no bankruptcy claim within the last 7 years)
  • If you are self-employed, you will be required to provide proof of income from the past 18 months

Otherwise, minimum household incomes vary by card.
